WWF and Cricket Trump Cards are fond childhood memories. Almost all of the kids who were born in the late 80’s and early 90’s would have been familiar with trump cards. It used to be our most favourite childhood game. From waiting for our favourite card which would be a sure shot winner to saying clash when we had the same weight or biceps or chest we did it all. It was a very simple game. Yet so much fun.
Bret Hart Hitman’s to Yokozuna’s unbeatable to rumours of undertaker’s nine lives there are so many things to cherish about a trump card. It is amazing how our love for cricket could be translated into an actual card game. Even in a card game, Sachin’s runs were priceless, Walsh’s match figures of 5 wickets for one run was another sure-shot winner. Who can forget Saeed Anwar’s 194
There were times when we used to cheat our friends without shuffling the cards. Some wrestlers came on top when the count came to Number of fights. Sometimes we used to save our favourite cards and play very carefully so that we could use them at crucial times to outwit our opponents.
More than cricket Wrestling cards were a rage. It had so many of our favourite wrestlers Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart Hitman, Yokozuna, Shawn Micheals, Undertaker and even the now-famous actor Dwayne Johnson as the rock, At times these card games had no end and went on for hours and hours. Yet we kept on playing. There wasn’t even money involved unlike the actual card. But we played just for sheer joy and fun of outwitting our opponent.
