In the final match against England yesterday, Williamson has amassed 578 runs including 578 runs 2 centuries. By this, he beat the record made by Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene who secured 548 runs in 2007 World Cup.

- New Zealand wicketkeeper Tom Latham made 2 catch in yesterday’s game. He made 21 people lose their game in this World Cup by his clever catching and stumping. This equaled Australia’s Gilchrist’s (21 out) record for most wickets in the 2003 World Cup.
