1. Yelagiri :
Since it’s only 230 km from Chennai we think it’s a first place to start of your travelling mode with your loved ones this year. The jalagamparai waterfalls and punganoor lake are the major attractions around this hill station.
2. Horsley hills :
It is located in 279 Km from Chennai. It’s one of the popular hill station in Andhra Pradesh. This place is named after a British collector W D Horsley who was so impressed by the beauty of the hills and built bungalow for his summer vacation. Koundinya wildlife sanctuary isn’t far away from the hills.
3. Kolli hills :
Are you someone who still gets shivers down on your spine when you hear about mysterious place? Do you believe in Bermuda triangle and the suspicious tales around it?
If yes Kolli hills is something you definitely should try out. It is located in 358 Km from Chennai. It’s part of eastern ghats range in India and above 1300 metres of sea level. The people you see while wandering might give chills and make you turn twice if you hear the stories about the place. The lush green environment is a treat your eyes. 4. Yercaud :
It is located in Salem district which is 367 Km from Chennai. Yercaud has also been known as jewel of south. It’s above 1515 metre sea level and the temperature never goes beyond 20 celcius. On summer it’s retreat to visit this hill station with your bunch of friends.
Often you remember kodai with the movie songs and scenes you have seen. And last year’s one of the best Tamil movie Peranbu was largely shot here. The breathtaking ambience and neck freezing cold is something you could look out for every time you come here. It’s located approximately 527 km from Chennai and definitely worth your weekend.
