S. S Rajmouli changed Indian cinema forever. He broke all language barriers and made Indian cinema proud. Even Bollywood embraced S.S Rajmouli and Bahubali franchise with open arms. From that point Bahubali has been desperately trying to replicate the success of Bahubali with various films but the only film that came remotely close was Dangal which had Aamir Khan. All the other films were mere imitations. The biggest success of Bahubali was it’s simple King queen storyline which mirrored our childhood stories. The familiarity of the story connected with all of us and made the Bahubali franchise a universal blockbuster.
Bahubali made Prabhas a Pan Indian artist. It gave him international recognition. Naturally the audience was eager to know what his next film would be. It is another big budget action film titled Saaho. Saaho sees Prabhas pairing up with Shraddha Kapoor. Quite recently we had shades of Saaho Chapter 1 and 2 videos which gave us a glimpse of what is to come. It is slated to release on August 15th as an Independence Day special. Expectations are naturally high for this action film. Hopefully this will be a perfect follow up to the Bahubali franchise by Prabhas and team.
Tamil actor Arun Vijay who is a part of the film wrapped up shoot for it. The actor posted pictures from behind-the-scenes of his last day on-set and wrote, “Its a wrap for me!! #Saaho. Happy to have Tamil actor been a part of this incredibly hard working team. Thanks to #Prabhas @sujeethsign @UV_Creations & the rest of da cast n crew for makin this journey a memorable one!” he added, “Wail it for an exhilarating experience in theatres from Aug 15! C u all..” ‘Saaho’, which began filming in June 2017 also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Evelyn Sharma, Mandira Bedi, Chunky Pandey, Jackie Shroff and more in key roles. It was shot in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Romania and other parts of Europe.
