1.Hyundai Grand i10 (Starts at 4.59 lakhs)
The Grand i10 is a beautiful car if you’re looking for a car under 6 lakhs, it has ultimate luxury and comfort. The mileage at 20kmpl is formidable. it is a 1.2l, 4 cylinder fwd engine with around 80 horses under the hood. It does come with a 5-speed manual and a 4 speed automatic. It has really good comfort and is suitable for tall people and long drives. It comes with 256 liters boot space and a fuel tank capacity of 43 liters. The only downside would be the plasticky dashboard and that the rear seats aren’t your best friend during long drives.
2. Hyundai i20 (Starts at 5.29 lakhs)
For around 5 lakhs it is an abode of luxury. It is a proper performance hot hatch. The mileage is also around 20kmpl. It has a 1.4 liter 4 cylinder engine with 90 horses under the hood. It comes with a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and a 4 speed automatic. The seats are very comfortable and the leg space is awesome and is very much suitable for long drives. It has a 284-liter boot space which means you’ll have no problem in carrying any luggage. The only downside is that it is super low, and by low, I mean really low.
3. Maruti Suzuki Nexa Ignis (Starts at 5.43 lakhs)
The Ignis is a very small and compact hatchback. It sort of looks like the mini version of the Mini Cooper. The Ignis gets the 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine and the 1.3-litre engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The petrol and diesel engine make 83bhp and 74 bhp respectively. It is a very compact and the rear is a little tight The small turning radius helps you go through traffic with ease. The black wheels are awesome and are very eye catchy. The car itself is an attention grabber. The downside is that you do not have much space at the back.

This is also a very compact car like the Ignis but this has more finesse, Obviously, it’s a Honda. Honda’s have always been great to drive and they’re very enjoyable. It comes with a 4 cylinder V-Tec engine, with a mileage of 18.5kmpl. It comes in both a 5-speed manual and automatic. It has a 197-liter boot space. It is a very compact car so don’t expect a lot of space. The other downside is that the boot door is made of glass and might shatter due to carelessness.

The Etios Liva is a very sporty car for this price range. It is super luxurious and very comfortable. It comes with a 1.4l 4 cylinder diesel engine and 1.2l 4 cylinder petrol engine with a 5-speed manual and 80 horses under the hood. It has a very good color shade combination. It gives around 18-20 kms to the liter. It has a 251l boot, so you’ve got ample of space which means you can take this beautiful looking car anywhere! The downsides are that it has a very poor interior quality and the use o very cheap plastic interior.
6. Hyundai Xcent (Starts at 5.43 lakhs)
The Xcent is an excellent sedan in its price range, one of the best I would say but isn’t exactly a sedan. It’s more of a Sub Compact sedan. It looks like a Grand i10 got an additional external boot to make it look like a sedan. Performance wise it is the same as the Grand i10. A few improvements have been made to the interior trims and the design options. The front has received a facelift and bigger wheels and better performance.
7. Honda Jazz (Starts at 6 lakhs)
The jazz is the perfect family car and it has a very good amount of space. It has a 1.2l 4 cylinder V-tec engine(petrol), 1.5l D-tec engine and comes with a 5-speed manual and 6-speed manual respectively. It also comes with a CVT automatic. You have 100 horses under the hood and an ample lot of boot space and leg space. This is the perfect family getaway vehicle.
