After the setback in maharastra BJP is now definitely losing their reins slowly. The latest loss at the state level game cost them another state and power of reigns. Now the BJP has been reduced to 40 percent of the landscape from whooping 70 percent in 2017. In the 2018 the ruling party swept 21 states quoting modi wave but everything has turned down as they have only 7 states. BJP has had roller coaster ride with facing triumphs and defeats and clenching states they have never before.
In 2014 saffron India map looked like patchwork of fabric of predominately blues and greys with a splash of saffron. But then BJP ruled over Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Goa and Arunachal Pradesh.
By September 2018 only five states were hard enough to give a tough fight- mostly South sails. Though the graph went on slow and steady it seems the golden run stopped now.
Modi magic did work well in the favor of BJP in Lok Sabha election but the state level election wasn’t easy game for them. On Tuesday after Devendra fadnavis’s resignation BJP has been reduced to 17 states. The reality could shake the confidence ruling party as they have been constantly losing big states while winning small states.
