Chiyaan Vikram to play the role of Karnan in his next film


Kadaram Kondan is Vikram’s next film after Saamy Square. The film is a thriller where Vikram looks stylish in a salt and Pepper look. Akshara Hassan is also part of the cast. Rajesh Selva who directed Thoongavanam returns with Kadaram Kondam. Let’s hope that this is the elusive hit Vikram is desperately looking for. It was role which was to be played by Kamal Hassan but since Kamal Hassan has entered politics Vikram took over the role even as Kamal Hassan took over the role of producer. The director of the film is Thoongavanam fame Rajesh Selva. The shooting of the film is over.

Dhurva Natchathiram is also slated for release later this year. The film has Ritu Varma and Aishwarya Rajesh as the female leads. There is a huge buzz around the movie as it is directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. He is known for creating some memorable roles for his heroes and this is a spy thriller which perfectly fits Vikram. Gautham Vasudev Menon has also acted in the film. Simran has also played a major role in the film. Harris Jayaraj reunites with Gautham Vasudev Menon for this film .This spy thriller will be a perfect treat for Vikram fans.

With both the projects being completed Vikram has moved onto his next which is based on the mythology of Karnan. Titled Mahavir Karna, the movie is a bilingual directed by R. S. Vimal of Ennu Ninte Moideen fame. The shooting of the film has begun with large sets being put up in Ramoji film city. The budget of the film is 300 crores as the makers aim to bring back Karnan in a brand new avatar. Further details regarding the rest of the cast is awaited. After a lean patch with Sketch and Saamy Square looks like Chiyaan Vikram is back to form with three back to back films.
