It was another good day on cricket field for India. Though the loss of Shikar Dhawan has badly hurt India the team has found an able replacement in K. L Rahul who scored a wonderful 48 to give India a solid start. After that Kohli took over with his customary flair to make a solid 72. But what is India without a Dhoni finish. He started off in his usual way and took his own sweet time to get going. It was tough out there in the middle but Dhoni hung in there with grit and determination to battle it out.
Kohli fell for 72 but Hardik Pandya wasted no time and raced his way to a quickfire 46. All eyes were on Dhoni as the final over began but Dhoni was cool as always as 16 runs came in the last over even as Dhoni reached 50 in style. He scored 56 not out of 61 balls to lead India to a winning total. In addition to this he held a spectacular catch behind the stumps. Though there was criticism regarding his ability to rotate the strike in the middle overs to come up trumps despite difficult batting conditions. Captain Kohli himself has supported Dhoni saying that everyone can have their off days and he knows what he wants to do and the whole team backs him to do well.
