Sana marin the new prime minister of finland has called for reduced working hours spreading enthusiasm. The 34 year old youngest female prime minster leads a centre left coalition in which all 5 government parties have woman at the top. She also explains that her aim is to introduce the 4 day per week and the 6 hour working day in finland.
The fact that she is young and female doesn’t matter to her. “I have never thought about my age or gender. I think more about the motivations that brought me into politics”. She said.
The most important thing for her is the question, how long finns should have to work. She demands much shorter working hours on the occasion of 120th anniversary of the social democratic party(SDP) in Turku. “A four day work week, a six hour workday. Why couldn’t it be the next step? Is eight hour really the ultimate truth? I believe people deserve to spend more time with their families, loved ones, Hobbies and other aspects of life, as such culture.
