According to the reports the accused had been taken to the crime scene on Thursday to collect evidence of the crime.
On Friday morning the encounter reports surfaced. It appears that while the police tried to collect evidence the accused tried to run away. As per the Telangana media reports the police fired back when the accused tried to hurt them. Two police men were injured. The accused were shot in the same place where Disha’s (name changed) body was burnt after she was gang raped and murdered. The accused were taken to the crime scene at chatanpally, nearly 50km away from Hyderabad, on Thursday to collect evidence of the crime.
DGP Prakash Reddy, who is at the scene of the incident, told media this morning that there was cross fire as the accused took the guns of policemen and attempted to escape. On Wednesday, the Shadnagar court had remanded the four accused to seven days police custody. The court had granted a seven day police custody of the accused.
The gang who were driving a lorry had trapped her by puncturing one of the tyres of her two wheeler which she had parked near the toll gate. They approached her pretending to help and forcibly took her and murdered. However the response to the encounter was mostly welcoming by the public. People celebrated the news saying “Justice served” and tweeted about the incident on twitter from early morning.
But few intellectual and journalist on social media were unhappy and said no one should take the law on their hands. Also they raised a question that what if they weren’t guilty?
