On Wednesday Madras High Court had transferred 62 official judicial officers. The officers rank of District Munsifs and Judicial Magistrates have been directed to get relieved from their current positions by handing over the charge of their posts to any one of the nearest judicial officers of equal cadre on Friday and take charge of their new posts without availing themselves of full joining time.
“The officers who relieve the officers under transfer, are required to hold full additional charge of the additional posts until the successors take charge or until further orders,” the memorandum read.
The principal district judges are directed is marked in charge of the arrangements to the court which will fall vacant consequent by placing suitable judges in the cadre civil functioning in the courts with fewer pendency cases.
