Joe Goldberg lives in New-york and works as book store manager. He’s slim, tall and has eyes of blue. When Guinnevere beck walks into his store Joe couldn’t take his eyes from her and smitten by the aspiring writer’s reckless smile.
Joe’s voice over is pleasing and addicting at the same time. He narrates the story. He writes the story of him and beck. Beck isn’t perfect unlike Joe. She’s dating a guy who isn’t serious about her. She’s hanging out with friends who don’t understand her. Joe’s addicted and obsessed with beck’s life. While following beck he couldn’t accept the mistakes she’s made and troubles beck is going through.
What will happen when JOE alters Beck’s life in the name of LOVE is the story of YOU. Apart from Joe and Beck there is teen age guy who lives next door to Joe. Paco’s mother is a drug addict and controlled by ex-cop. I loved the way the writer connected Paco and Joe’s childhood. That makes sense when Joe helps him at every situation.
Every time paco sits outside while his mother and ex-cop fights joe offers him book. And Peach salinger who is a wealthy influential socialite is a best friend of beck. She comes into episode one casually and steal your attention with her character arch leave you in awe.
Joe’s nightmares about his ex-girlfriend and beck’s issues with her father and the professor who irks her everything is riveting and making this as one hell of edge of the seat thriller.
In a way this series in one line YOU revolve around beck and the version Joe keeps trying to tell. It’s available on Netflix and a worthy enough series to start you week. The first season released on 2018 and now second season will be out in next year February. This is the perfect time to watch one heck of the series.
