NGK teaser reaction : Suriya looks fresh in a brand new political avatar

The much awaited NGK teaser is here and it looks like Suriya has made a smashing return in a political avatar. His name is Kumaran and he rises to cleanse the system. From the looks of it NGK is unlike any other Selvaraghavan film we have seen before. Rakul Preet Singh and Sai Pallavi are the two ladies. While Rakul Preet Singh expresses surprise at his political avatar Sai Pallavi urges him. There’s also a reference of politics being unclean and how Kumaran has the ability to change all that. Is it the rise of the common man to change the system ?

Suriya has looked too earnest in his earlier films but Thaana Serndha Kootam changed all that. It gave him a fresh makeover as he looks different in this Selvaraghavan film. The energy that made us fall in love with Suriya is back to where it belongs. We have not seen Suriya as a politician before so the expectations are naturally high. The role looks very apt and might just bring back the actor in Suriya that we all loved. It feels good to see Selvaraghavan attempts to tell a story which he has never told before. His forte is romance but this looks very different.

And it feels good to see the combo that gave us so many hits before. Of course I am talking about Yuvan and Selvaraghavan. The combo is back. The Background score is one of the highlights of the teaser. Yuvan leaves his mark even in a small time frame. Towards the end of the teaser there is a line which says Kathirupom which implies let’s wait. It must be noted that even Vijay’s Thuppaki trailer also ended with ” I am waiting”. Let’s wait and see if NGK as a film is worth the wait. For now it’s a thumbs up for a wonderful teaser which does not give away too much.
