In a massive loss to Kollywood, production manager-turned-actor Krishnamurthy passed away due to cardiac arrest on October 7. The famous actor, most famous for playing a mentally-challenged person in Vijayakanth-Soundarya starrer Thavasi, died early morning on the sets of Sakthi Chidambaram directorial film in the border town near Theni. Though he was rushed to a hospital by the crew at director Sakthi Chidambaram’s set, the “Naan Kadavul” actor passed away before reaching the destination.
He was called Manager Krishnamurthy as he worked as a production manager in Tamil film industry before starting to do small roles. He has been part of many hit movies like “Englishkaran”, “Roja Kootam” and “Friends”. Krishnamurthy is survived by his wife and two children.
He was introduced in Kamal Haasan’s Nayakan but had rose to fame in Vijaykanth and Soundarya’s Thavasi. In a scene with Vadivelu asking the address of Osama Bin Laden, his famous “Excuse me indha address enga irukku” has not only left us in splits but also impressed many of us.
