Tamil Nadu Education Department has taken new initiatives with respect to Traffic rules and regulations. These new set of rules are greatly welcomed by the people of Tamil Nadu. There are reportedly many deadly road accidents. In fact, about a month ago, three people were seen to ride a single two-wheeler, went under the wheels of MTC bus at the YMCA ground. Out of which, two girls died on spot. Recently, the government has made stringent rules and regulations in Traffic rules, marking heavy fines for those who break laws. Subsequently, to emphasize the traffic rules among school students, the TN education department has come up with some new set of rules.
Firstly, the rule demands the teachers who drive to school using two-wheelers to wear helmets. In this way, teachers can serve as a role model for the young generation. As per the rule, The Physical Education Teachers should involve in traffic regulation works for about an hour. Secondly, students are restricted from driving two-wheelers to school. Though the eligibility for license mandates to attain a minimum of 18 years of age, some school students drive two-wheelers to reach school. Thus the second rule states that students who drive bikes to school should not be allowed beyond the gates. Additionally, if children come to school with things that represent caste and religion, severe actions would be taken.
