Trisha – The Eternal Dream Girl and the Queen for kids who got introduced to cinema in Early 2000’s. From that blink and miss appearance in Jodi to Kodi she has come a long way. No one could play the same role again and again with elegance like Trisha. She might not have done much in terms of acting but the fact that she’s still relevant and active is an achievement in itself
As she turns 35. We take a look at some of her best performances so far.
Jaanu ( 96 ) : Jaanu was a surprise. Till Jaanu arrived we all thought that VTV was her best. But she outdid herself with a mesmerising performance. The whole film revolves around only 2 characters and she made sure that all the attention was on her. We felt her pain when they separated and that’s the triumph of the movie.
Jessie ( Vinnaithandi Varuvaya): It’s her toughest role till date for me will always be Jessie from VTV. She gives life to a shallow confused personality. Ideally, it is a character which should make you bang your head in desperation for the way it oscillates but you end up rooting for that zig zag puzzle which helps Karthik re-discover himself. Without Jessie there is no VTV
Rudra ( Kodi): She had to wait for so many years to prove herself as Rudra in Kodi. A role which breaks every stereotype associated with the villainous leading lady. Rudra’s character arc and makeover remain the same from start to finish as she goes about destroying her hero turned rival like it’s an everyday event. There’s no rush, no explosion just a wily fox-like attitude which gets her job done.
Abhi ( Abhiyum Naanum): Abhiyum Naanum is a fine example of how to complement a fantastic actor. With Prakash Raj at one end and Trisha at the other end, this is a great example of how to form a beautiful bond between two actors who are extreme opposites. While Prakash Raj digs deep and lives the role. Trisha plays Abhi very casually without too much effort and it works big time as we relate to ups and downs of an ordinary father-daughter relationship.
Kavitha ( Unakum Enakum): This was a role which was tailor-made for Trisha, Again her effortlessness works big time but beyond that, this is a role which requires relentless energy to make it work. She keeps the energy intact from start to finish and her chemistry with Jayam Ravi is just cuteness re-defined.
