A video from the joint exercise military exercise at Joint Base Lewis, Washington has turned heads of many Indians. The video was shared by a news agency ANI on its Twitter account. In the video, it can be seen that American band playing the Indian National Anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’ during the joint military exercise in Washington, USA. This had received many compliments from the viewers.
The band comprising of several trumpeters, a clarinetist and a flute player play the anthem while being directed by a conductor. This one-minute video clip has received over 27,000 views, 7,600 likes, and 2,200 retweets. “We thank USA Army, the President and people of the USA for giving such an honour to our national anthem. Thank you America!”, one of the netizens wrote.
Also, earlier this week, another video went viral. A video in which Indian soldiers with their US counterparts marching for the song ‘Badluram ka badan zameen ke neeche hain’. The Indian and US soldiers were singing the marching song and clapping their hands in perfect synchronization. The song denoted story of Badluram, a soldier in Assam Regiment who was killed during World War II. After his demise, his name still remained in the ranks. The video has been widely shared on Facebook. It had received over 2.12 lakh views and over 22,000 likes on Twitter.
